Hyde destroys Prologue course; Loan sets record for women

Evan Hyde dropped the boom on the men's expert field tonight, taking the Prologue win and shattering the previous course record. Sheryl Loan lowered the record as well, posting the fastest time for women and taking an early lead in the Tour of Anchorage.

Cyclocross is a form of bicycle racing which involves laps around a 1.5 to 2 mile circuit incorporating pavement, grass, mud and obstacles. Some of the course elements require dismounting and running with the bike. Cyclocross skills are applicable to road and mountain bikers and especially helpful for triathletes. Many ‘crossers find that this sport is an ideal bridge activity between the summer sports and the ski season. The official series flyer is available here.

This clinic is limited to 50 people and will sell out fast. Entry is open!

8/12 - Thursday Evening: Meet and Greet, REI 6:00 to 7:45 Introduction and Clinic Overview Equipment Talk Bike Cleaning 101 Rules.

8/13 - Friday Evening: Skills and Drills 6:30 to 8:00 Mounts and Dismounts Barriers and Run-ups Shouldering the bike.

8/14 - Saturday: Skills and Drills 10:00 to noon; 1:30 to 3:30 Course surface (sand, mud, puddles, etc.) Cornering Bumping, close contact Pit rules; changing wheels Tactics—team and individual Anything else you can think of.

8/15 Sunday: RACE!!! And Post-Race Party 12:00 Noon

Anchorage - Seward Relay

September 5th - Labor Day Weekend

Historically known as the Anchorage to Seward RELAY, Anchorage to Seward is a time trial race starting at the Rabbit Creek Road Overpass and ending at the Windsong Lodge in Seward.
The race is on Sunday of Labor Day Weekend which makes it a great way to spend the holiday with family and friends..
Ride to Seward on Sunday and relax in Seward Monday! What more can you ask for???

Distance: 115.8 total miles or 8 legs ranging from 7.4 - 27.4 miles each
Divisions: 1, 2 or 4 person teams of men, women or coed
Teams: tag off at preassigned legs: Leg 1 - 14.8 miles; Leg 2 - 11.5 miles; Leg 3 - 16 miles; Leg 4 - 7.4 miles; Leg 5 - 11.8 miles; Leg 6 - 10.5 miles; Leg 7 - 16.4 miles & Leg 8 - 27.4 miles

Many thanks to all of you who are pre-registering ONLINE. We cannot begin to tell how easy it makes if for us to start a race on time AND what it saves you.
Even if you register ONLINE you must still check your name off the list at the checkin table. If you don't check in, you're name is not included in the results.
This TOO MUST BE DONE 30 minutes prior to race start.

OH, and remember, if you register online it's just $18.00 per race but if you register on site - get the money out as it's $25.00.

We rely on the registration information to provide us with an accurate participant count. Because this is vital to the success of our events, there will be no refunds once a registration has been processed.

You have been assigned a number that is already associated with our timing system in the computer. When you make changes or have to be given a new bib number the chance of errors in results is great. Please remember your bib on race day! Thanks!
